Instant Pot Spaghetti is a delicious (and genius) dinner your whole family will devour. Made in one pot in less than 25 minutes, this quick spaghetti dinner satisfies even the pickiest of eaters. As a busy Mom raising two young boys, I’m always trying to create recipes that are easy, budget-friendly and satisfying. This one hit the mark and I couldn’t be more proud. I doubt you’ll ever go back to cooking spaghetti any other way! Instant Pot Spaghetti is a recipe I recommend you pin for later if you don’t have time to cook now.
DO NOT BE INTIMIDATED BY THE INSTANT POT.

Once you’ve tried this recipe the Instant Pot will become a staple in your household too.
Instant Pot Spaghetti packs a ton of flavor and my family is already insisting we have it again. MOM WIN.
If you don’t have an Instant Pot, it’s my biggest essential in the kitchen lately.
Instant Pot Duo 7-in-1 Multi-Use Programmable Pressure Cooker, Slow Cooker, 6 Quart | 1000W
ALRIGHT, enough talking. Let’s get to it!
Plug in your Instant Pot and press the “Saute” button. Add olive oil into the pot. Once that’s warmed, add your beef and as it cooks break it up into small pieces. Add your seasonings: onion powder, garlic powder, chili flakes (optional) and salt. Cook until the beef is no longer pink.
STEP 2: (IMPORTANT)
Add 1/2 cup water and your tomato sauce. SCRAPE THE BOTTOM OF THE INSTANT POT SO NOTHING IS STUCK TO THE BOTTOM! If you don’t do this step, you will get the dreaded “burn” message. Now you can turn off the “Saute” mode by pressing cancel.
Break your spaghetti in half and layer it over your meat sauce in the pot (no more than 2 layers). As tempting as it is, DO NOT STIR in the noodles, they need to remain on top or they’ll go mushy. We’re aiming for the perfect al dente. Add 1/2 cup water over the noodles.
Close the lid to the Instant Pot and make sure the seal (on top of the lid) is pushed upwards on “Seal.” Hit “Pressure Cook” and press the arrow to add 12 minutes on the timer. WALK AWAY!
When the timer goes off push the valve on the lid down to “Vent” for a quick release. Once the steam is all released, open the lid and stir the noodles in with the sauce. Grate parmesan on top and serve immediately!
Products I used:
Catelli Protein Noodles
Classico Tomato & Basil Sauce
If you like a bit of spice, add 1/4 tsp red chili flakes with your seasoning in STEP 1.
This spaghetti is also delicious when you don’t add parmesan. Instead, transfer it into a casserole dish and add sharp cheddar cheese on top. Broil it in the oven on HIGH for 2-3 minutes.
We love to pair this with garlic toast, caesar or greek salad.
