If there’s one thing I will never give up in life it’s sauces! I try to make the majority from scratch but you’ll always find pre-made bbq, ketchup and plum sauce in my fridge. However, this recipe has a staple homemade sauce that you’ll never buy again. The fresh bite of garlic with the tang of salsa and sweetness of honey absorbs into the chicken and vegetables.
Every bite is fresh and bursting with flavour. The real reason we always make it from scratch is because it’s fast, simple and healthy. Our three favourite things.
I prefer to prep my vegetables and mix the sauce first so everything is ready to go. It keeps the cooking process simple!
This is an easy and nutritious meal prep. I usually get 4-6 servings out of this recipe. If you’re trying to cut out grains or carbs, use cauliflower rice or double the amount of broccoli. We use the JLY Canada Stackable Meal Prep Containers because they’re dishwasher/microwave safe and easy to store.
